Music
Chris Silver a local favorite, is best known throughout the country as a virtuoso flatpick guitar and mandolin player and can be heard at festivals, theaters, clubs, and radio shows across the globe. Formerly of the bands Stoney Lonesome, Tangled Roots, and the Kate Mackenzie Band, Silver has taken his Roots and Americana music to new levels through his solo appearances and shows his own band, The Chris Silver Band. Although he has a deep appreciation for traditional roots music, his sound doesn’t stop there. Silver’s music stretches beyond the boundaries of traditional folk to include jazz, blues, alt country, indie and classic rock styles. As a songwriter, Silver takes his listeners through a landscape of experience and place. His lyrics are thought provoking and his songs reflect a life that has been filled with challenges and rewards.
The Stump Grinders are also joining the Nature Night music scene! Matt Hafele, Ben Toppel, and Lance Hovland of The Stump Grinders will have you up and dancing in no time! Their sound is waltzes, square dance tunes, high energy, food stomping old time music.
